Oakdale Village Caravan Park is a short walk to the shops and facilities of the village of Oakdale which rests within a tranquil semi-rural environment south west of the Sydney metropolitan area just 30 minutes from all the services and facilities of Campbelltown.

Coal mining was originally the major industry in the area however the coal mine closed down several years ago. There are still plenty of reminders throughout the area which highlight the contribution of mining to the development of Oakdale and the surrounding area.

To the west of Oakdale is the beautiful Burragorang Valley which can be viewed from the Burragorang Lookout & Picnic Area which is only a 10 minute drive from Oakdale. Spectacular views of Warragamba Dam and the escarpment of the Blue Mountains can also be seen from the lookout. It is a great spot to enjoy a picnic, take in the views and enjoy all that the Australian bush has to offer.
